It’s a uniquely American thing, turning old cars into a personal expression. Customizing or Hot Rodding. I’m always fascinated by the ideas folks come up with. Not in a zillion years would anyone come up with an identical concept and execution of any hot rod that’s ever been built. Each one is far more unique than a finger print.
I was out in Winnsboro. South Carolina this weekend to see a little country air show slash car show. Just a bunch of people getting together to talk about their hobbies and have a good time. There were a couple of interesting air craft and some skydivers. A good place to meet people with stories to tell, and get a few pics. Great way to spend an afternoon.
I came across this gem.A Zombie Hot Rod that definitely qualifies a folk art. Going to let it speak for itself. Here’s guy that’s having a hell of a lot of fun with an old Chevy chassis. I just thought it was to cool for words, so here’s some pics.
Goes to show that you can find some really cool stuff in tiny little southern towns.
